Willow Park Zoo!

This same sister-in-law invited us to go to the zoo on Saturday.
We decided we needed a break from all the stress so we went.
We saw several animals...

and we even saw the "Man in the Yellow Hat" from
Curious George. He was kind enough to let us take a
picture with him and he even let B hold George.

A enjoyed being outside.

T and B enjoyed it also.

Moving Day--Again!

Thanks to my sister-in-law, we have a place to call home. T's sister manages a few duplexes and she just happen to have some tenants moving out on May 1st. We very quickly took her up on the offer and moved in on May 5th. We are no where near being done unpacking but we are getting there.
We used our pickup to move everything we needed
to the new place. T packed most of the things in the truck
and then I helped him unload when we got home. We
did have some very good neighbors who came to help
with the couch and the washer. A brother-in-law came to
help with a few dressers and beds. We have it mostly at the house
but still have the unpacking to do.
Family Room (B had to sleep on the loveseat for
a few nights because we could not find the choo-choo bed.)

Kitchen

Kitchen (as you can see in these two pictures,
the moving company spares no paper.)

The duplex has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. It is nice
and I think we will stay for a little while so that we do not have to
move again anytime soon. (Not too long though because there is
nowhere for the kids to play and B misses his swings.)

Vacation!

Since we had no place to live we decided to take a little
vacation to see my parents on thier mission on the Navajo Reservation
in Arizona. It was a very long trip that, of course, got started late.
We left our house at 5 p.m. and arrived in Blanding at 1 a.m.
We still had 3 hours or so to go so we decided to stay in Blanding. We got
to my great aunts house and she had so kindly put a note on her
front door that said we were welcome to choose any of the three bedrooms downstairs. We each carried a sleeping child in the house and laid them on the floor and then crawled into the bed to sleep. We woke up to Jerry (my aunts husband) making us french toast for breakfast.
We had a nice visit with them and another great aunt and uncle
(Genevie and JR) before they had to get to church. We
jumped in the car and headed towards St. Michaels.
We got there and mom had dinner waiting. YUM!
We always have a good time when we visit and B
loves to see grandma and grandpa.
Grandma made a special pancake for B.
She used raisins for the eyes and nose and
a strawberry for the mouth.

Obviously he thought it was pretty cool!

On Monday, we went to the Zoo in Window Rock, AZ.

On Tuesday, I went with mom to the Senior Citizen Center in
Ft. Defiance to help with the bimonthly craft she does with them.
(It is great PR for the church). When we got back we all piled into
the vehicles and headed for Gallup, NM. We took our car to Big O
so we could get 2 new tires. We went to Zuni Traders and bought a
Peace Pipe for T's office and a wooded Kachina Doll for Aunt Dutch.
We then headed to Golden Corral for lunch and then off to Walmart.
By the end of the day we were all pretty tired. We got up Wednesday
and got ready to leave. It is always so hard to leave. We took some
pictures on the way home.

B on the ride home (Thank goodness for the DVD Player!)

A on the ride home (Thank goodness for pretzels!)

This is A when he got sick of the pretzels
and being in the car.

Wilson's Arch on the way home.

I have always thought that this rock formation
looks like Aunt Jemima (the syrup lady)
T had no idea who I was talking about...
What do you think?
This is the first house my parents bought. They lived in it
for many years. I was born while they lived in this house.
(Blanding, UT)
This is the doctors office where I was born. There was
not time to make it to the hospital in Monticello, so
my dad decided to have the doctor deliver in his office.

STUFF + no house = Storage Unit 10 x 30

The moving truck was supposed to unload all our stuff
into our new home but instead they unloaded it into our
newly rented storage unit. We got a bad news call from
the inspector 8 days before we were going to move. The
house (built in 2004) we had made an offer on has MOLD
in the subflooring. Needless to say we ran as fast as we
could away from the deal. Not my idea of a new house.
We stored everything we own except for vehicles
and a suitcase each in a storage unit for 1 1/2 weeks.

The Nightmare is Over!

Many of you know that each year that we lived in our
house (Apr. 05 - Apr. 08) we had major issues with
the sprinkling system. The kid who lived in the house
before us definately didn't know what he was doing. We
will no longer have these problems!! YEAH!!!

T had it all fixed and on the day we were moving, it
sprung a leak. He got the leak fixed and then there was
a short in one of the wires. Just when he fixed the wire,
he pressurized the system and it sprung another leak.
This was what we dealt with every year. Several times
it even got water in the crawl space. We made our honest
effort to fix the poor job done by another and hopefully
the family that lives there now will not have any problems.

Moving Day!

On Thursday April 24, the moving truck came to
our house to load up all our stuff. They took all the boxes and
beds (even the choo-choo bed...B's bed that has a Thomas quilt
that my mom made for him)
They even took the swingset apart and loaded
it into the truck.

After they left in the truck with all our stuff, several
women from the ward came to help clean. We cleaned
everything spick and span. I cleaned the oven--YUCK!
A woman from my ward even swept out the crawl space!
The house was so clean.

We have ALOT of Stuff!

The moving company came on Wednesday April 23 to box up all our stuff. I am so glad that I did not have to do that part. T was there the whole day and said it took them from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to finish. Hence the title: We have ALOT of Stuff! (The pictures only show the things they boxed and do not include the things we boxed on Thursday)
