Please Play!

I have seen this on numerous other blogs and I thought it sounded like fun so join in the fun!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

ORLANDO!

Taun had a work Conference in Orlando so we decided that we would take the boys and go on VACATION! We decided this after Taun had bought his plane ticket so the boys and I had to fly on a different airline. I took the boys with me and Taun flew alone. I had a 2 hour layover in Chicago and Taun flew direct. I had 1 stroller, 2 bags of activities, 1 DVD player, 1 camera, 2 very cute boys, and a carseat. Taun had 1 laptop computer and that was it. I had to carry the carseat all over Chicago Airport with my boys and all our stuff so I figured I would get to the right gate and then find something for us to eat for lunch while we waited. Everything was going very good UNTIL I went to check the stroller and carseat and the man told me I was at the wrong gate. I ran from one side of the airport to the other because I only had 20 minutes before my plane was going to leave. It was interesting but I did make it just in time and Southwest Employees were wonderful. The boys did so well on both flights and for that I was glad.
Benjamin and Alexander having a great time on the airplane. Benjamin did not know what to think. He loved looking out the window and playing with they tray. He did not fuss or complain at all. He did not use anything to entertain him except for the mere fact that we were on an airplane just like Big Jake from Jay Jay the Jet Plane. He was thrilled. Alex did really well also.
Benjamin was so cute with his monkey bag. He pulled it everywhere we went and so many people said "Oh look how cute that little boy is with his little suitcase!"

He just had to climb in to see if he could fit inside. I could not miss the photo opportunity.

We stayed in a beautiful, expensive ($375/night--paid for by Taun's work) hotel that had a pool. We went swimming twice while we were there and the boys LOVED it! It was hard to get them out when it was time to leave.

Benjamin would not let go of Alex's float tube. He was a little scared that he would fall in the water.

While we were there, we figured the boys would really enjoy Sea World. One day after Taun had finished with classes we drove less than 10 minutes to Sea World. We headed straight for the Penguins first and Benjamin loved that. He got to see them in the snow and in the water when they were diving for fish. We saw an animal show that had cats, dogs, birds, mice, and a pig doing funny things. The boys both watched that one very intently.
We saw (and almost touched) the dolphins. Benjamin really wanted to touch them until they came within his reach and then he pulled back.

We decided to go to the last Shamu show for the day and on the walk to the stadium it started to rain. The stadium seats were covered so we were able to watch the show without getting wet. When the show was over it was still pouring and so by the time we got to our car, we were drenched.

All in all we had a GREAT time in Orlando!

Fun on the 4th

For the 4th of July we traveled to Soda Springs to join my family reunion. We always go to the parade and then go to the park for a picnic lunch and games. This year we could not go to the cabin for the reunion so we decided that at least we could drive up for the day. On the way up there I put a blanket up to shade Alex and Benjamin thought that it was a tent so I had to build one for him too.

These next pictures were taken while we were waiting for the parade to start. Both the boys are happy to be outside.

At the park they had several things for the kids to do so we waited in line for a few of them. It was really hard to get Benjamin out of the bouncy toy. He loved it and it was nice that he was able to get out some energy.

Someone had a mini ferris wheel there and Benjamin was begging us to go on it so we waited in line forever. I thought that he would freak out as soon as it started to move...I was wrong! He loved it! He rode in the same seat as my cousins little boy, Clark.
