Could this day get any worse?...YES!

This little story actually starts a few days back, so bear with me. B woke up very early in the morning on Sunday and was very hot. I took his temperature and it was 103. We opted to wait it out and then at 7:00 p.m. we decided we had better take him into the clinic. We thought that maybe he had strep because his voice was all raspy and he said that his throat hurt. The nurse did a strep test on him and then the doctor came in and said it was negative. He proceeded to check all the usual things that they check and told us that his right ear was red and that he had an ear infection. (This makes me mad more than anything else because we had tubes put in last year and this is ear infection #4 since the tubes and he just finished 10 days of Amoxicillian.) We decided to put him on a stronger antibiotic to see if we could knock out all the infection.
Monday, I took the kids to the babysitter and B acted like he felt fine.
Tuesday morning; 4:30 a.m. B woke up and I realized that he was burning up again. The thermometer read 102 so we gave him Tylenol to reduce the fever and then at 8:00 a.m. I checked the temp. again and it was at 101. I tried to find a substitute for my class and could not find one so I went to work. A was happy and B was screaming, "Go home, mommy" all the way to the babysitters house. I took one turn out of the subdivision where we live and got pulled over because I was speeding. I was sobbing before the cop even got to my window and B was still crying and screaming, "I hold you mommy!" He gave me a ticket and sent me on my way. I could not control the emotions and cried to the babysitter who convinced me to call in sick...so I did. I found a sub and threw some worksheets at her and then went to get my kids. I am home with my kids (who are both sleeping) and surprisingly enough B acts like he feels alot better and he is not burning up anymore. This is just one more confirmation for me on how much I need to be a stay at home mom.
Sorry for the sob story.
Moral to the story: If you ask it the day could get any worse, the answer will most likely be YES!

4 WONDERFUL YEARS and counting...

Today is our 4 year anniversary. (and my parents 39th) I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. He is always very considerate and willing to help with the boys. He gets up with them in the middle of the night to fulfill any crazy need they might have at 4:30 a.m. He never complains about it either. One day when I have more time I will have to tell "Our Story" It's a good one!

Packing--Aagh!

I really hate moving mostly for the fact that you have to pack. We were packing away some things one night and B was sure having a good time. He got in every box before we packed it I'm sure to inspect it for size. This one pictured above was a little too small. He sure is a good kid most of the time. Sometimes I really think we were wrong on his name. Instead of B we should have named him Picasso. You will know what I mean when you see the next picture.

He never colored on the walls before we were trying to move but now it is almost an everyday event. We have taken all the writing utensils away and put them up high or even gone to extremes by hiding them. He has a nose for them and can sniff them out somewhere. His favorite thing lately is the sharpie marker. Luckily all he has colored on with those is a few moving boxes. Thank goodness for "Magic Erasers." They really do work! (Do not get it on your skin though because it burns)

This is what A does while we are trying to pack boxes and store them under the house in the crawl space. We thought we would never have enough to fill it and now it is 3/4 full. All the clutter has to go somewhere and so until I can emotionally handle letting go of it, I will put it in a box and stuff it under the house. That is my right!

We have been trying to fix up things around the house and so other things have been easily neglected. Some examples are: Laundry, laundry, laundry, oh and did I mention LAUNDRY!

This picture was taken the day after I spent 3 hours folding laundry. It was 12:00 midnight when I decided it was time to quit. Hopefully I will be able to finish it sometime in the near century. Part of the problem was that we switched to a new detergent two months ago and B broke out with a rash all over so I rewashed all of his clothes with the detergent that we have always used. It took three loads to wash all of his clothes and hours to refold and rehang it all. He still has the rash so we will see if it goes away soon. Hopefully it does so the poor kid does not scratch himself to death!

"I'm a Princess"

B came home from nursery a few weeks ago and very excitedly told me, " mommy, I'n a pincess!!" We have worked very hard the last few weeks to teach him how to say prince. I would hate for him to be confused for his whole life.

Christmas 2007

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

B was very excited to help mommy this year with
the decorating of the Christmas Tree. He was a
"big help!" Actually we got all the ornaments on
without breaking any! (That is why you get the
non-breakable kind!)

This is what our tree looked like on Christmas morning.
Santa must of been very busy wrapping all the presents this year.
He does not usually wrap them all but B sure enjoyed opening all of
his presents and some of A's. He was very excited that he got his
own box of cereal! He was also very excited about the new "jammies."
He got some books and some clothes for church. His stocking was
full of some of the traditional Santa stocking stuffers such as
toothpaste, toothbrush, candy and of course an orange
in the toe! A got baby food in his stocking and some link toys.
Santa sure was good to us this year. We all got jammies and new clothes.
We got a darling new book called "Santa's First Flight"
by Sam Beeson (he is from Orem and teaches at AF High--nice guy!)
S got a new mini vacumn and a car charger for her phone.
T got a few movies and some new shirts for work.

B's all time favorite presents were his new tent

and some Cars underwear (both pictured --we
did not help him with the underwear, he did it all
on his own so of course we could not resist a photo
opportunity.)

A just enjoyed eating all the paper
and bows. He was really upset when
we tried to take them away.

Grandma and Grandpa B came over for breakfast and
this is what the table looked like before we ate.
We had a sausage and egg casserole, blueberry muffins,
fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, and canteloupe),
OJ and Chocolate milk. It was all very delicious and it
was really fun to have Grandma and Grandpa come.

Santa Claus

On December 7, 2007 we had a visit from someone special. Santa Claus came to our house to visit! B was not too sure about it until A sat on his lap. T has a good friend who plays Santa and he had just finished up somewhere and called to see if he could come see us. B was really happy about his the sucker that Santa gave him.
