The Most Wonderful Parents Ever!

On February 7, 1969 these two wonderful people married in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What an amazing event in my family's history. This is the beginning of a beautiful story which I will now tell you in a very short form. 13 months after this glorious day, on March 26, 1970 they had a beautiful baby girl. She is now the mother of 4 kids. On December 22, 1971 a handsome baby boy was born and he is now the father of 5. April 28, 1974, another handsome baby boy came into the world and he is now the father of 4 children. On September 28, 1976, yet another handsome baby boy was born and he is now the father of a beautiful little girl. Then on January 26, 1978 the pattern changed and they were blessed with another girl (that's me). She is the mother of 2 boys. Another girl came on April 15, 1980. She is now the mother a cute little boy. The last of seven children was born on May 2, 1982. He is father to a little boy and is awaiting the arrival of another child in October. 7 children and 18 (almost 19) grandchildren later they are as happy as can be. They are faithfully serving a mission and loving it.

Could this day get any worse?...YES!

This little story actually starts a few days back, so bear with me. B woke up very early in the morning on Sunday and was very hot. I took his temperature and it was 103. We opted to wait it out and then at 7:00 p.m. we decided we had better take him into the clinic. We thought that maybe he had strep because his voice was all raspy and he said that his throat hurt. The nurse did a strep test on him and then the doctor came in and said it was negative. He proceeded to check all the usual things that they check and told us that his right ear was red and that he had an ear infection. (This makes me mad more than anything else because we had tubes put in last year and this is ear infection #4 since the tubes and he just finished 10 days of Amoxicillian.) We decided to put him on a stronger antibiotic to see if we could knock out all the infection.
Monday, I took the kids to the babysitter and B acted like he felt fine.
Tuesday morning; 4:30 a.m. B woke up and I realized that he was burning up again. The thermometer read 102 so we gave him Tylenol to reduce the fever and then at 8:00 a.m. I checked the temp. again and it was at 101. I tried to find a substitute for my class and could not find one so I went to work. A was happy and B was screaming, "Go home, mommy" all the way to the babysitters house. I took one turn out of the subdivision where we live and got pulled over because I was speeding. I was sobbing before the cop even got to my window and B was still crying and screaming, "I hold you mommy!" He gave me a ticket and sent me on my way. I could not control the emotions and cried to the babysitter who convinced me to call in sick...so I did. I found a sub and threw some worksheets at her and then went to get my kids. I am home with my kids (who are both sleeping) and surprisingly enough B acts like he feels alot better and he is not burning up anymore. This is just one more confirmation for me on how much I need to be a stay at home mom.
Sorry for the sob story.
Moral to the story: If you ask it the day could get any worse, the answer will most likely be YES!

4 WONDERFUL YEARS and counting...

Today is our 4 year anniversary. (and my parents 39th) I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. He is always very considerate and willing to help with the boys. He gets up with them in the middle of the night to fulfill any crazy need they might have at 4:30 a.m. He never complains about it either. One day when I have more time I will have to tell "Our Story" It's a good one!
